Looking back at 2025 with an eye on 2026
Gosh it feels like five minutes since I was last sat here looking back at 2024! I say it every year but where does the time go. This year has felt like a roller coaster of emotions but thats okay, feeling an emotion is healthy and allows you to be present in the moment.
Look back over a very busy year with lots of new products.

Fancy a bit of fun on New Year’s Eve?
Try these New Year rituals to bring good luck into your home. They are fascinating
In Ireland at midnight on New Year's Eve, it’s a tradition to open your back door and let the old year out and open your front door to welcome the new one in. An “out with the old, and in with the new.”
In Japan, people give their homes a thorough clean to sweep away the past year’s dust and bad luck, preparing for a fresh space for the new year
In Scotland and Northern England, the first person to cross the threshold after midnight is crucial for the year’s fortune, some bring a piece of coal, bread, a coin or whisky for prosperity, warmth and good cheer.
In Yorkshire, saying “black rabbits, black rabbits, black rabbits” before midnight and “white rabbits, white rabbits, white rabbits after midnight brings good luck all year
in Spain, eat one grape per clock chime at midnight for good luck in each month
in Latin America, people wear bright underwear, red for love, gold for wealth and white for peace
in Mexico people carry an empty suitcase around the block for a year of travel
And finally, in Denmark, you would jump off a chair at midnight to leap into a new year
All good fun, and I give one a go every New Year, much to my family’s enjoyment. But beyond the laughs, tonight is a chance to consciously release anything you don’t want to carry into a new year. Old habits, arguments, worries, little niggles—take a slow breath and let them go before midnight.
Feel the weight lift. Be grateful for everything this year has taught you, everything you’ve grown through, and everything you already have.
And then, with an open heart and a clear mind, welcome in a fresh new year filled with possibility

Because sometimes the most powerful gift is presence.

And Finally ….
With the colder, darker nights, winter is a wonderful time to take your focus inwards and study not only yourself, but also something new, which will inspire the year ahead for you. Take the opportunity to get a qualification, take a course, learn a new skill, reignite your passion for a certain hobby, read books on topics that interest you and expand your mind.
I hope you have a wonderful New Year and that 2026 is exciting, happy, healthy with lots of laughter, Linda xx
