What a year it has been!

Firstly, 2017 has been the first full year that our little business has been up and running and it has been an amazing one. It has been so fun hearing how much you all love our products so thank you. Hearing such lovely feedback has made us look forward to more in 2018.

Also, we have thoroughly enjoyed getting involved with subscription boxes this year and have been featured in quite a few: we have been in two The Unibox boxes, Artemis and Xena, The Really Good Box, Ms Flow, Skin Organics Beauty Box, LowToxBox and Juliah. If you have found our little company through receiving a product in one of these boxes then welcome!

This year, we became vegan approved by the Vegetarian Society and our products have been featured on their stalls in multiple shows including the Just V show in London this year. Again, if you spotted us there then a big hello to you too.

Finally, we turned 1! On the 2nd of December, we had an event at our headquarters in Cheshire to celebrate our birthday and show case our newest collections. This was such a lovely way to celebrate how far we have come and how far we wish to go. We held the event on Small Business Saturday as well, which we thought was very fitting.

Next Year

We are very passionate about reducing our carbon footprint and have recently undertaken a review of our packaging among other things.

It is vital, for the sake of our beautiful oceans and all the lovely creatures that live within it,  that every single company and individual reduces the use of plastics.  We are environmentalists and therefore it is even more important that we re – use,  recycle and compost every single bit of packaging that comes into Helpmeorganics hq.

There is a cupboard, deep within the packaging room, which is stuffed full of good strong cardboard boxes of all sizes, bits of bubble wrap, airbags etc all waiting to be used to package our orders. We have sourced our tape from a company that uses recycled plastic to make good strong tape. We have to protect our little green bottles during transit and they are now wrapped in corrugated cardboard, which can be put into your compost bins or garden waste council bin.

We still have plans for the future, we would love to replace the plastic straw inside our green bottles but so far our trials have not worked, but we have asked our suppliers to try to source a better straw, however the tops of the bottles including the plastic straw are 100% recyclable and we ask that it is.

By working hand in hand with our suppliers and listening to wonderful discussions on #ethicalhour etc, we will in time be completely reusable, recyclable and compostable.

Due to the change in packaging, we are going to increase the price of two of our product ranges by £1. Both the essential oil blends and massage oils will remain the same price. Our room sprays will go to £7.50 and our candles to £10.50. These prices will change as of today and will also be the same in our Etsy shop.

We hope you all have had a lovely 2017 and have an even better 2018!

Linda and Claire x

Hello everybody and welcome back to our little HMOblog! Today, we are introducing the last of our BRAND NEW ranges that will be available from the 1st of December. The third range that we would like to share with you is our “help me feel fresh as a daisy” range, which I would love to tell you about.

Some of you may have already seen the room spray from this collection as it was featured in The Unibox’s November box as an exclusive product! I am sure you will be able to read all about the product on their website and their social medias as well as from their lovely subscribers. We have received some lovely feedback from everybody who has tried it so far so we are very excited for it to be available to everybody from December!

So, why did we create this scent? Firstly, mindfulness is something that is very current in both mine and my Mum’s life. Not only do I incorporate mindfulness into my daily routine but my Mum, Linda, is in the middle of her mindfulness training to become a mindfulness coach. Taking a few seconds, minutes or even an hour out of your day to take a breath, regain control of your thoughts is incredibly important and something that everybody should do. I like to do 10 minutes of mindfulness when I am lying in bed before I go to sleep. Yes, I don’t normally make it to the 10 minute mark without snoring my head off but if I do, it makes me feel so incredibly relaxed and my quality of sleep is immensely better. This range was created with mindfulness and meditation in mind. We have blended frankincense, geranium bourbon and lavender together to bring tranquillity and harmony into your life. Something that we all need.

So, a little bit about the essential oils we have used:

Frankincense:

Used to help ease panic attacks, anxiety and stress, Frankincense is THE oil to aid meditation and relaxation. It will ease a troubled mind. In massage Frankincense is wonderful to fight stretch marks as it is a rejuvenating oil, it is truly effective to massage your stomach (in a clockwise direction) to bring a sense if calm during a time if panic.

Geranium Bourbon:

Is a balancing and regulating to your hormones, emotions, body and soul. It is a powerful immune booster, sinus cleanser and builds your resisted e to stress. Massage your abdomen (in a clockwise direction!) to ease period cramps.

Lavender:

One of the best known essential oil, it’s benefits are immense. We use this oil to calm, protect, boost your immune system and soothe muscular aches & pains. You will find Lavender in most our products as it is deeply therapeutic and beneficial to everyone.

As I mentioned in the last blog post, we have been working on these next three ranges for a very very very long time and to have their launch within touching distance is overwhelmingly exciting for us! Each collection has been developed by our own aromatherapist, Linda, who has been working with essential oils for over 25 years. You could say that she knows what she’s doing. If you would like to ask her anything at all about any of the collections and essential oils used then you can contact us on our social medias @helpmeorganics or via email: contact@helpmeorganics.com and she will be more than happy to answer your questions. We hope you are as excited as we are for the new products and, don’t worry, the wait is nearly over.

Hello everybody and welcome back to our little HMOblog! Today, we are introducing the second of our BRAND NEW ranges that will be available from the 1st of December. This one is called “help me, they say exercise is good for you” range and I would like to tell you a little bit more about it:

We understand that Christmas is one of the best times of year for many reasons, the main being the ability to indulge in both food and the odd little (or big) tipple. Then, January comes, you realise that your clothes are a little tight and you launch yourselves at the stack of exercise DVD’s collecting dust on the shelves. Exercising is brilliant, don’t get me wrong, but exercising too much can end in very sore and tight muscles that will need a little bit of attention. That’s where this range comes in. We have blended lavender, lemon, juniper berry, pine and sweet marjoram together to make this wonderful range.

So, a little bit about the essential oils we have used:

Lavender:

One of the best known essential oil, it’s benefits are immense. We use this oil to calm, protect, boost your immune system and soothe muscular aches & pains. You will find Lavender in most our products as it is deeply therapeutic and beneficial to everyone.

Lemon:

Lemon has a wonderful fresh aroma, it is helpful to lift your moods and is a valuable immune booster.

Juniper Berry:

If you struggle with anxiety “burn-out”, this is the essential oil for you, juniper berry eases your emotional system and eases constant thoughts. Use our massage oil to clear excess fluid & toxins, juniper berry is excellent to help fight uneven skin tone, lumps & bumps.

Pine:

An uplifting, cleansing essential oil, Pine will clear your head and sinuses and leave a beautiful fresh aroma. By massaging our massage oil, the pine really helps to ease painful muscles and soothe nerve pathways.

Sweet Marjoram:

This is a warming, antispasmodic essential oil which helps to clear sinuses, ease headaches, helps you to relax and unwind . When you apply our massage oil, muscular aches & pains ease, inflammation  and joint pain reduces.

As I mentioned in the last post, we have been working on these next three ranges for a very very very long time and to have their launch within touching distance is overwhelmingly exciting for us! Each collection has been developed by our own aromatherapist, Linda, who has been working with essential oils for over 25 years. You could say that she knows what she’s doing.
