We handpour our candles into 150g candle tins, please enjoy your candle carefully

Our 150g candles have a burn time of around 35 hours.

When you light your soy candle for the first time, it is important to allow the complete top surface of the candle to completely melt, from edge to edge. If you only allow the top layer to partially melt, the wax will remember this and will only burn the same area causing “tunneling”, this is known as a “memory ring”. We suggest a maximum burn time of 3 hours and please trim the wick and remove any debris from the previous burn. Never leave a lit candle unattended, in easy reach of children and animals. Keep away from flammable materials and surfaces. Tin may get hot.

Ingredients:

100% soy wax, cedrus atlantica {cedarwood}, cinnamonium camphora {wild black spruce}, pinea mariana {ho wood}, linalool, mentha 2, oxinoate, cotton wick, 8% organic essential oil fragrance

Studies have shown that spending time amongst trees helps to release anxiety, depression and anger whilst boosting  our sense of vitality and calm. Its as though trees help us to let go one breath at a time.

Forest bathing, also known as Shinrin-yoku, is a mindful experience of spending time in a forest or woodland, where you can touch the bark, inhale the earthy scent of leaves and resin, and listen to birdsong and the rustling of branches. This engages all five senses in a way that calms our central nervous system and enhances wellbeing and helps us feel deeply rooted, present, and safe.  When we wrap our arms around a tree, we are pausing, breathing,  listening, letting the world around us quieten for a moment or two. This stillness allows us to breathe,  you will feel different afterwards.

How to hug a tree - mindfully
- choose your tree that you feel drawn to
- place both hands around the trunk, you can just touch the bark or completely embrace the tree
- feel the texture of the bark. Is it rough or smooth?  Cold to the touch or slightly damp?
- if you wish to, close your eyes abd be aware of the scents, noises of the forest, birdsong, leaves
- open your eyes, what can you see? The changes of light from the tree canopy or bouncing off the forest floor
- take a deep breath, what can you smell? The earthy scent of the forest,  fallen leaves and the green aroma of moss

Researchers believe that the compounds trees release, called phytoncides, may also reduce stress and improve your immune response.
So next time you re out for a walk in nature, give a tree a big hug, smile and embrace a little Forest Therapy
