Sleep is vital for your body to repair damage in your body due to stress and lifes workload. Sleep is also a time when our body and mind relaxes but for too many people, bedtime is a stressful time with lots of tossing and turning, checking clocks, getting up for a drink and visit to the bathroom. Before you know it, its time to get up for a new day.

Our Sleep Wellness Therapy Gift Box has everything you to need to create a bedtime routine.

Firstly, your need to begin to calm your thoughts an hour before bed so this is the ideal time for some self care., Before your shower, the simple act of brushing your skin (in an upwards direction) is very calming and soothing. The brushing action also helps with circulation, this is excellent is you struggle with Restless Leg Syndrome or lymphedema. After your shower, massage in the oil, this is a highly nutritious oil, easily absortbed into your skin. We use jojoba, apricot kernel and grapeseed carrier oils, 100% organic

We have blended organic essential oils of;

Petitgrain - sleep inducing, calming and soothing

Ginger - excellent to help with digestive issues which may be stopping you drifting off to sleep, It is also warming and comforting.

Eucalyptus - if you struggle with sinus congestion, eucalyptus oil helps to clear your sinuses, it also is a powerful anti inflammatory oil helping to ease muscullar aches and pains

Lavender - soothing, relaxing, calming

We have included a Mindfulness Guidance Card with two meditations to help quieten your mind. You can use a Mindful Body Scan, once in bed to help.

  • Begin with your arms by your side, lying on your back (maybe place a pillow under your knees to protect your back, if this is uncomfortable, place it between your knees and lie on your side)

  • Feel the bed under your body, make contact and close your eyes, take a breath in and breath out , repeat this a few times.

  • Begin at the top of your head, and work slowly down your body, noticing how each part feels, if there is tension, take a breath and let the area soften.

  • Once down at your feet (well done if you are still awake). begin to notice how each part is connected and work slowly back up.

  • Notice how your skin feels, warm, soft and happy.

  • If a thought enters your head, acknowledge it and let it go as if it were a leaf floating down the river.

  • By noticing how your body feels, how your breath feels, you will learn how to relax and let go of today

you will find a 75g “it’s way past my bedtime” soy candle, perfect to enjoy at night before bed, maybe read a book or listen to music. Please do not leave a lit candle unattended, in easy reach of children and animals. Please keep away from flammable surfaces and materials, the tin may get hot.
