Hello everybody and welcome back to our little HMOblog! Today, we are introducing the second of our BRAND NEW ranges that will be available from the 1st of December. This one is called “help me, they say exercise is good for you” range and I would like to tell you a little bit more about it:

We understand that Christmas is one of the best times of year for many reasons, the main being the ability to indulge in both food and the odd little (or big) tipple. Then, January comes, you realise that your clothes are a little tight and you launch yourselves at the stack of exercise DVD’s collecting dust on the shelves. Exercising is brilliant, don’t get me wrong, but exercising too much can end in very sore and tight muscles that will need a little bit of attention. That’s where this range comes in. We have blended lavender, lemon, juniper berry, pine and sweet marjoram together to make this wonderful range.

So, a little bit about the essential oils we have used:

Lavender:

One of the best known essential oil, it’s benefits are immense. We use this oil to calm, protect, boost your immune system and soothe muscular aches & pains. You will find Lavender in most our products as it is deeply therapeutic and beneficial to everyone.

Lemon:

Lemon has a wonderful fresh aroma, it is helpful to lift your moods and is a valuable immune booster.

Juniper Berry:

If you struggle with anxiety “burn-out”, this is the essential oil for you, juniper berry eases your emotional system and eases constant thoughts. Use our massage oil to clear excess fluid & toxins, juniper berry is excellent to help fight uneven skin tone, lumps & bumps.

Pine:

An uplifting, cleansing essential oil, Pine will clear your head and sinuses and leave a beautiful fresh aroma. By massaging our massage oil, the pine really helps to ease painful muscles and soothe nerve pathways.

Sweet Marjoram:

This is a warming, antispasmodic essential oil which helps to clear sinuses, ease headaches, helps you to relax and unwind . When you apply our massage oil, muscular aches & pains ease, inflammation  and joint pain reduces.

As I mentioned in the last post, we have been working on these next three ranges for a very very very long time and to have their launch within touching distance is overwhelmingly exciting for us! Each collection has been developed by our own aromatherapist, Linda, who has been working with essential oils for over 25 years. You could say that she knows what she’s doing. If you would like to ask her anything at all about any of the collections and essential oils used then you can contact us on our social medias @helpmeorganics or via email: contact@helpmeorganics.com and she will be more than happy to answer your questions. We hope you are as excited as we are for the new products and you will be hearing from me this time next week with our third and final range announcement!

Hello everybody and welcome back to our little HMOblog! Today, we are introducing you to our BRAND NEW range that will be available from the 1st of December. The first range that we would like to share with you is our “help me feel fresh as a daisy” range, which I would love to tell you about.

For this collection, we blend together cedarwood, frankincense, rosemary and sweet orange. Do you adore the feeling of crisp and fresh mornings but don’t enjoy the cold? Why not bring that feeling into the warmth of your home with this range?

So, a little bit about the essential oils we have used:

Cedarwood:

This is a wonderful decongestant essential oil and helps to ease stuffy heads and fights coughs & colds. Massage with cedarwood to increase joint mobility and is especially good with arthritis.

Frankincense:

Used to help ease panic attacks, anxiety and stress, Frankincense is THE oil to aid meditation and relaxation. It will ease a troubled mind. In massage Frankincense is wonderful to fight stretch marks as it is a rejuvenating oil, it is truly effective to massage your stomach (in a clockwise direction) to bring a sense if calm during a time if panic.

Rosemary:

Best known as an aid for our memory, rosemary essential oil is energising . Rosemary is a protective oil, is antiseptic and gives a “ray of sunshine” to any blend.  This is a wonderful oil in massage as it eases muscle cramps and has stimulating properties.

Sweet Orange:

It’s an uplifting essential oil but it is calming when you feel frustrated. Sweet orange really helps to clear kitchen odours.

We have been working on these next three ranges for a very very very long time and to have their launch within touching distance is overwhelmingly exciting for us! I know, I know… It’s only October but it’s never too early to start Christmas? Back when helpmeorganics was just a sparkle in our eyes, we created our first ever scent: our Christmas range. As we are lucky enough to have our own little store here in Cheshire, we were able to trial our very first scent on our customers before we designed our website and made it possible for anyone in the whole of Great Britain to try it. We had nothing but amazing feedback and sold out much earlier than we expected so we thought we would bring the exact same fragrance out this year but in multiple different products!

So, what’s in this scent? I personally don’t think there is a better time of year than Christmas but the fact that I really didn’t like the smell of anything including cinnamon made it difficult when I wanted to get a fragrance to fill my home with “Christmasiness” so I asked Linda, the founder of helpmeorganics (and my Mum), to make me a candle which smells like Christmas WITHOUT using cinnamon and she certainly didn’t disappoint. I actually keep a mini sample candle next to me here at my desk because I adore the smell and like to just have a little burst every now and again.

In this new scent, we have blended:

Sweet Orange has uplifting properties which, when inhaled, help to bring happiness, energy and joy which is helpful if you suffer with SAD. It also has anti viral properties too making this a wonderful addition to our festive blend

Lemon is very uplifting, fresh and energising plus it lifts the two spice essential oils.  The citrus undertones aid depression and fill the air with a long lasting happy scent.

Fir Needle – think of Christmas trees with their fresh aromatic scent and you will understand why we had to include fir needle essential oil.

Clove Bud is a protective cleansing oil which is helpful during colds and flu.  It is synonymous with Christmas and is very warming, calming.

Ginger is a warming oil which helps with seasonal affective disorder as it combats loneliness and is very energising.  Think of Christmas and ginger is an important spice, who doesn’t love a gingerbread house!

This year we have designed a 300g candle which will look beautiful on any Christmas dining table and will last the whole festive period.  Last year we were told that the wonderful scent filled their homes and brought a sense of happiness, family and comfort.  We have also designed a smaller candle, 75g, as the ideal stocking filler or indeed a travel candle for you to take with you if visiting family.

Our “help me get into the festive spirit” range also comes in a Room spray so that you can add an extra burst of fragrance if you are having guests over, or a party or just like to cleanse your kitchen after cooking.  Then our last product in the range is the Aromatherapy blend of organic essential oils, ideal to fragrance  potpourri bowls, fir cones or just place in a saucer of water in your office to bring Festive cheer wherever you go.  Pop 2 drops on a tissue and place in your car to keep you alert whilst driving.

Christmas is a wonderful time, we love it here at Helpmeorganics HQ, we will have lots of tips to help you enjoy this winter so please keep an eye on our website.

If you are stuck for a gift this Christmas, our Organic, Ethical, Vegan products are the answer!

The best way to re-hydrate a dry skin is to replenish the sebum levels and organic unrefined oils are the best and only way to do this. At helpmeorganics we strongly believe that by including carrier and essential oils into your day will increase your level of well being and the suppleness of your skin. We have designed pre-blended organic massage oils to make it easier for you to use after your bath or shower or indeed as a massage at home.

So let’s look at the science behind massage, aromatherapy and the power of touch.  I have been an Aromatherapist for nearly 30 years so yes I am biased but there is strong scientific evidence to back up my passion. When someone gives you a hug , holds your hand or a places a hand  on your shoulder, suddenly you feel reassured, strong and loved. This is because your nervous system sends messages to your brain which in turn releases endorphins to announce to your body that you are happy and in a good place. Remember how lovely a hug from your parent suddenly makes everything OK,  aromatherapy has the same effect, certain smells send the same message to your brain.

We have carefully chosen our carrier oils to be therapeutic in their own right. Organic unrefined Avocado oil is highly nutritious  being rich in vitamin A, B1, B2, B5, D E, it has anti inflammatory properties so ideal for a sensitive skin. Organic jojoba oil helps to rebalance the level of sebum in your skin as it tricks an oily skin to reduce the amount of sebum produced, on the other hand jojoba oil increases the sebum production for a dry skin. Our last carrier oil is organic camellia oil, rich in omega 6 and super quick at being  absorbed by your skin, camellia oil improves the elasticity of your skin and helps to repair sun damage.

So we know that carrier oils deliver hydration and protection to your skin, we have added our special blend of pure essential oils to our massage oils, each one helps to remedy a situation. In our “help me, it’s way past my bedtime” we have blended Melissa,  lavender, eucalyptus and ginger to counteract most situations which get in the way of a good sleep so you could use our massage oil to work in a clockwise direction on your stomach whilst concentrating on your breathing to slow you down, use our convenient dropper to apply the oil.

Our “help me, I’m feeling under the weather” is your little bit of protection if you are feeling like you are coming down with a cold, massage our oil on your upper body so that you breathe eucalyptus,  lavender,  tea tree, peppermint and tangerine while you drift off to sleep, our oil blend will help to keep your airwaves open so no need to breathe through your mouth.

At certain times we can feel as if we are running out of balance on an emotional level, use “help me, apparently I need to chill out” to soothe and calm while everything settles down. If you struggle with PMS, period pains, massage a small amount of our oil onto your stomach and breathe,  then keep warm and wait, it will ease.  Feeling anxious, don’t worry, the combination of palmarosa, geranium, ylang ylang and lavender will wrap the feeling of comfort around while you allow your breathing to slow down.

If you are very lucky to have someone to massage your feet, our massage oils are perfect, easy to apply just remember to shake the bottle to make sure all of  the oils are mixed together.  Our massage oils are to be enjoyed, loved and used at all times, we have used small bottles so that the oils are actively therapeutic. These massage are not suitable for babies/infants or pregnant ladies as the ratio of essential oils are too strong. We recommend storing them in a cupboard out of direct heat and light and remember to use them , you will enjoy the benefits and love aromatherapy just as much as we do.

Welcome to our summer collection “help me bring sunshine to a cloudy day”

When I began to formulate our summer collection, I wanted to create an effective summery blend which will bring summer into your home, as well as helping you to enjoy eating outside. After all, it is vital for our health and wellbeing to get out in the sunshine as much as possible.

I have combined the organic essential oils citronella, lemongrass, peppermint and spearmint to help you enjoy your summer. Citronella and lemongrass are renowned to protect against insects, both contain the chemical constituent, citronellol. Insects don’t like the smell and will avoid at all costs. Also, ants dislike a minty smell and we use two very active mints in our blend. You can add 4/5 drops of our aromatherapy blend into a bucket of water and swill around your doorways, you can safely add our essential oil blend to your floor wash to give a wonderful happy, citrus fresh aroma which help to keep your kitchen fly free.

During the summer months, weather permitting, we spend more time eating outside (until the mosquitos find us that is)! We have a natural soy wax candle infused with our organic essential oils, designed to provide a “safer” zone to deter flying insects. Light your candles and enjoy the summery blend permeate into your dining area.

There are many ways to utilise our “help me bring sunshine to a cloudy day” products, we have listed below some ideas:
1. As mentioned above, burn our soy candle whilst you eat al fresco. Not only will you be left alone but the citrus aroma is just beautiful. Before eating, swill the area under your dining table (outdoors) with a bucket of water and 4/5 drops of our blend.
2. Spray 2-3 bursts of our room spray around your home, the essential oils will keep your rooms fresh and summery.
3. Use our aromatherapy blend in many ways. Put 4/5 drops in a bucket of water and rinse your path, doorstep to deter ants.  Place 3/4 drops in a bowl of water onto your kitchen windowsill to keep flies away and finally pop 2/3 drops onto a tissue and place upstairs on windowsills to deter mosquitos.

Although we cannot guarantee no flies or mosquitos, we are very confident that their numbers will be reduced. Our essential oils will not kill or hurt the insects but will encourage them find somewhere else to hang out!

Be careful, keep all bowls and tissues away from children or pets, animals must not drink water containing our blend of essential oils. Remember to shake our bottles to mix the oils together and finally never leave a burning candle alone or in reach by children.

If you use our aromatherapy blends in a really useful way, let us know so we can share the tips after all our products are planet friendly, vegan friendly and very effective in a lovely organic way.
Happy Summer!
